Iā€™m back, and Sobi Forms just hit its first milestones

Hey everyone,

I’m back, and a lot happened while I was away.

First: the plugin got featured. Thanks WordPress team šŸ™‚ That gave Sobi Forms real visibility and helped people find it. Downloads went from about 10 a day to 200+ a day.

Because of that, we’re now at 90+ active installs. Doing it in two weeks is huge for me.

I also got my second 5-star review. When you build something from zero, that feels really good. If you use Sobi Forms and it’s working for you, please leave a quick review on WordPress.org, it helps a lot with ranking and tells others the plugin is worth trying.

I’ve had a few messages with ideas and feedback too. Keep sending those. That’s how I know what to build next.

All of this gave me a real push to keep going.

What’s next?

I’m finishing the next release (1.6). It should be available on Sunday. Lots to test. Main stuff:

  • SMTP: send emails through your own server so notifications actually land in the inbox.
  • Webhooks: send form data as JSON to Zapier, Make, or any URL.
  • Spam protection: Cloudflare Turnstile; someone actually suggested it.
