Sobi 1.8.0 — Custom Email Notification

Hey! Short one from me: over the past few days I’ve been working on custom email notifications, and 1.8 is out on WordPress.org.

You can now customize admin notification and visitor confirmation emails per form, subject and body, with HTML and placeholders to drop in field values (plus things like form title and a full {{all_fields}} block if you want). There’s a Send test email button in the builder so you can preview before you save. Leave a field blank and you keep the default template (existing forms behave as before until you change something).

If you try it, let me know what you think, especially what placeholders or defaults would make your life easier.

Webhooks too

While I’m here: recent releases also tightened webhooks/ unlimited URLs per form, HMAC signing on every request, logs, retry, and you can run test with real submission-shaped JSON. All free in core. More details here: sobiforms.com/webhooks
